We have finalized information for Achievement Testing for 2012. We will be testing the last full week of April, 2012 (April 23-26). We will test from 9 AM until around noon Tuesday-Thursday. The Insight (cognative test equivalent to the OLSAT) will be given Monday morning during proctor training. Location is TBA, but will most likely be held at Tates Creek Christian Church.
ACSI has changed the format of the achievement tests this year. In the past, we have given the Stanford Test with the OLSAT (cognative skills test). This year, ACSI will be using TerraNova 3 (standardized test) and Insight (cognative skills test). They will be of a similar format to those given in previous years. The Insight is, again, optional. The standardized test will consist of language skills, math skills, science, and social studies. There will also be a section on Bible. We will be testing First Grade and above.
All families participating in achievement testing will be required to volunteer in some capacity. For most, this will be as a testing proctor. Please clear your schedules for testing week. We will make every effort to accommodate those with special circumstances, but please let us know as soon as possible if you will require special consideration.
Testing will cost $20 per child for CHB members, and $30 per child for nonmembers. There will be an additional $5 per child taking the Insight (optional). A $10 per child deposit will be required to reserve your spot. If you would like to participate, please complete the attached form, and send it to the address listed on the form along with your deposit by November 19.
